Simon Bird, Tennis Coach
I have been coaching at The Shrewsbury Club ever since it first opened its doors. My role is to co-ordinate the adult programme and oversee the club's teams currently playing in the Shropshire Summer League. I represent the county at over 45 level and still enjoy the competitive side of the sport. I also had the huge honour of representing Great Britiain's over-45s team in Spain which was a great experience.

Lyndsay Silverthorn, Tennis Coach
I was a professional tennis player for over 10 years around the world, reaching world rankings of top 200 in doubles and top 400 in singles. I have experience in both on and off the court training and nutrition, gaining valuable knowledge while being trained out of Connecticut in the United States. Post playing career, I have coached for the past 10 years around the UK and also briefly in the United States while also having a background in sales. I am driven to increase the number of female tennis players while also focusing on the overwhelming benefits playing tennis has on health and wellness.
