Shrewsbury Business Live TV show is a success

We were delighted to welcome Shropshire Business Live TV to The Shrewsbury Club as we hosted the May edition of the show.

One of our indoor tennis courts was transformed into a broadcast studio for Thursday afternoon’s programme, with presenters Carl Jones and Chris Pritchard joined by a number of guests.

The monthly business programme combines news, views and topical chat, including interviews and panel discussions about the current big issues.

This was the first time the show had been broadcast in front of a studio audience.

Dave Courteen, our managing director, gave the Shropshire Business Live TV team a tour of The Shrewsbury Club in front of the cameras.

Dave was later part of the panel for a debate about the sport and leisure industry, which also featured Shrewsbury Town Football Club chief executive Brian Caldwell,  Energize chief executive Chris Child and Adrian Collins, the chair of Cricket Shropshire.

The show’s first guest was Glynn Jones from the Bank of England as he spoke about his role and the economy.

David Elliott, finance director of Catax Group, then joined the presenters for Ask The Expert.

Also under the TV spotlight at The Shrewsbury Club were Neal Hooper, talking about the recent Aico awards held in Birmingham, while Ffion Horton from Shropshire Council and Councillor Ian Nellins spoke about the Council’s future connectivity project in Market Drayton.

A second Ask the Expert spot saw John Merry from Lanyon Bowdler talk about all things employment, with Dan Harris of Q Financial Services, a senior mortgage and protection adviser, also sharing his views.
