Shrewsbury Business Live TV is coming to the Club

We are really excited to let you know of a different type of event we are planning to stage at the Club later this month which we would love you to be involved with.

Have you ever wondered how a live TV show is put together – or fancied being part of the audience?

Well, here is your chance….

We are delighted to reveal that we will be hosting the May edition of multi-award nominated Shropshire Business Live TV show on Thursday, May 26th.

Part of The Shrewsbury Club will be transformed into a broadcast studio for the day, with the 90-minute show going live at 12.30pm.

It’s a mix of news, views and topical chat, including interviews, panel discussions and question-and-answer sessions about the big issues of the moment. Think of it as a cross between Question Time and The One Show and will appeal to anyone who is working or interested in business life.

The programme here at the Club will include a panel debate on the value and state of the sports and leisure industry and the panellists will include Brian Caldwell, CEO of Shrewsbury Town; Chris Child of Energize, the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Active partnership dedicated to improve the quality of life through the benefits of physical activity; Adrian Collins, Chair of Cricket Shropshire and our very own MD, Dave Courteen.

Not only that but the packed 90-minute show, will also include:

  • A visit from one of the Bank of England’s most senior regional experts
  • All the usual Ask The Expert spots including legal updates from Lanyon Bowdler and R&D news from Reclaim Tax UK
  • Shropshire Council spotlighting an exciting new initiative in Market Drayton
  • Reports from the opening of the new Beaver Bridges plans in Shrewsbury, the Queen’s Award launch
  • A chat with one of 10 Downing Street’s former economic advisers

If you’d like to come along to a business networking event with a difference, and be part of this unique live TV experience, then you just need to turn up at 12:30pm on 26th although we would really appreciate it if you could email [email protected] so that we have an idea of numbers.

It is free to attend and don’t worry, the filming will not impact any of the activities or classes that are scheduled for that day.

We’ll look forward to seeing you on 26th. Are you ready,

Camera, lights, action!
