The Shrewsbury Club is delighted to present virtual Les Mills classes making it even easier for you to incorporate fitness into your lifestyle.
We want our members to experience the very best fitness classes in Shrewsbury, and they don’t get better than Les Mills, the fitness phenomenon that’s conquering the world. Originating in New Zealand, Les Mills is now the world’s largest provider of exercise-to-music group exercise classes. Les Mills classes are updated every three months with new choreography, chart-topping music and meticulous instructor education to make sure they are always fresh, exciting and consistent with the latest fitness research.
Les Mills whenever you want
In addition to our range of instructor-led classes, The Shrewsbury Club is now offering Les Mills Virtual BodyPump, BodyCombat, CX Works, Sh’bam and BodyBalance. This means that members can come and do a Les Mills class whenever they want! As long as our exercise studio is free, you have the opportunity to programme a class for the big screen and enjoy a high quality workout according to your own schedule. Your Virtual instructor will start you off with a warm up, take you through the high energy workout and finish the session with a warm down.
We currently offer five Les Mills Virtual classes
BodyPump, the original Les Mills barbells class, provides a total body workout, toning and building strength through low weights and high reps.
BodyCombat is your fast-paced martial arts inspired, but totally non-contact, workout. Burn major calories and improve core strength whilst practicing the moves of Boxing, Muay Thai, Kung Fu, Taekwondo and Capoeira!
CX Worx exercises muscles around the core, providing the vital ingredient for a stronger body. This programme hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body. It's ideal for tightening your tummy and butt, as well as improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention.
SH’BAM is a fun-loving, insanely addictive dance workout – no dance experience is required. All you need is a playful attitude and a cheeky smile so forget being a wallflower – even if you walk in thinking you can’t, you’ll walk out knowing you can!
BODYBALANCE™ is ideal for anyone and everyone, a yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. You bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves that also embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centred.
Again, these virtual classes are not replacing our traditional Les Mills classes, nor will they replace our instructors! What they do is to give our members the flexibility and freedom to decide when they want to exercise – we are “simply” committing to provide the space and technology.
